Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department recently hosted Camp Embers 2025, an immersive, hands-on experience designed to inspire and educate young women about careers in fire and emergency medical services.

Throughout the camp, participants learned essential skills like hose handling, ladder operations, search and rescue techniques, and CPR — all while working alongside experienced female firefighters and EMS professionals. Camp Embers builds confidence, leadership, and teamwork through challenging and rewarding activities that mirror real-world emergency scenarios.

It’s more than just a camp — it’s a launchpad for future fire service leaders.
