Last week three volunteers from the Berwyn Heights Last week three volunteers from the Berwyn Heights VFD @berwynheightsvfd14 were among fellow public safety officials who were recognized at the Prince George’s County 47th Annual Public Safety Valor Awards Ceremony. Each year members from the County Fire Service, Police Department, Sheriffs Department, Corrections and Public Safety Communications are honored for several different heroic incidents/actions. FF Jackson Cole was awarded a Silver Medal of Valor for his actions in rescuing a firefighter, who had fallen through the floor, at a house fire on 49th Ave in College Park on December 17, 2023. Lt.Brandon VanTreese and FF Andrew Boyle were awarded a Bronze Medal of Valor for their actions in the rescue of a civilian at a house fire on Wichita Ave in College Park on January 7, 2023 CONGRATULATIONS to all of the award recipients on a job well done! #ServiceIsTheMission #pgfdvolunteers #pgfdmd #volunteerfirefighters #marylandvolunteers #nohosenation #bhvfd14 #berwynheightsmd #givingbacktothecommunity #volunteerpublicsafety @vso_pgfd
